OFA Patrons Club was established in 2007 for the sole purpose of helping the students and teachers of Oak Forest Academy.  The Patrons are of group of grandparents and friends of the school who strive to “raise the bar” by contributing their time, money and ideas to make the school the best it can be. The projects are limited only by their resources.

The club meets every 4th Tuesday of every month at Mike’s Catfish in Amite at 6:30 p.m.  The dues are $25.00 per year and everyone is invited to join.  All donations to the Patrons Club are tax deductible including your dues.

The mailing address for the OFA Patrons is:

Post Office Box 846, Amite, LA. 70422.

Some of the Projects made possible by the Patrons Club have been the purchase of overhead projectors, projections screens, new desks and chairs for every teacher, locking metal cabinets for classrooms, new sidewalk from the elementary school to the high school, covered and lighted walkway joining the buildings, cafeteria equipment, outdoor benches for the high school recess area, contribution to the elementary playground equipment, complete renovation and purchase of furnishings for the elementary teachers lounge, installation of new wall mirrors for every bathroom, purchased new computers and head phones for the elementary school and the air conditioning the gymnasium.

Each of these projects have been made possible by fund raising such as raffles of quilts, tricycles, donations, selling inscribed bricks in memory or honor of individuals.
